There has been a time and room change for the SB427 hearing on Tuesday, February 17, 2004.

Please pass this information to everyone you know and please try to make it to the hearing - showing our numbers, gay and non-gay is extremely important!

Date: Tuesday, February 17, 2004
Time: 1:00 PM
Location: Legislative Office Building (on State St, behind Capital Building), Concord, NH; Room 205 & 207.
Committee: Public Institutions, Health and Human Services Committee
Bill: SB427

Things you should bring:

1) 5 copies of your testimony (preferably addressed to Sen Andre Martel, Committee Chair and cc'd to the other Public Institutions, Health and Human Services Committee Members: Sen. Robert K. Boyce, Vice Chairman; Sen. Iris W. Estabrook; Sen. Joseph D. Kenney; Sen. Jane E. O'Hearn)

2) Something you can distract yourself with (book, crossword, etc) as we will need to wait until testimony for SB427 begins (See Note below)

3) Candy - nerves can dry your mouth like nothing else.

There will be people there who can answer your questions whether you are a novice or experienced with bill hearings.

NOTE: A hearing on Prescription Drugs has also been scheduled for 1pm. After the testimony for Prescription Drugs there will be a short break (~10-15 minutes) then the hearing on SB427 will begin. We are not sure when testimony on SB427 will begin. If you can make if for 1:00 that is great but remember parking will be a challenge all day. If you can't make it for 1:00 then show up when you can no matter how late in the afternoon. We understand that this makes attendance more challenging but we need to stress the importance of visibility. Those in favor of this bill are expecting to have multiple hundreds of people there - we need to have more so everyone counts, everyone needs to be there.
