'All I wanted was to survive, so I did’
By Joe Adler
This article is about the SASS 12th annual "Put Your Foot Down on Sexual Assault" walk-a-thon
and the Clothesline Project, which Seacoast NOW members participated in, as usual. What is particularly
interesting about this article is that it makes reference to one particular t-shirt as follows:
One shirt hanging on the fence read: "All I wanted was to survive, so I did."
It so happens that this is the shirt that June Briand made for the Clothesline Project when she was still
in prison. Seacoast NOW was instrumental in helping June receive a governor's pardon, and today she is free.

This is not "club news" but is a Seacoast NOW press release that addresses a
decision of the NH Supreme Court
in the case of Franklin Lodge of Elks v. Sally Marcoux & a., issued on June 13.
Franklin Lodge of Elks was found to have intentionally violated New Hampshire's
anti-discrimination laws which prohibits discrimination based upon gender in
public accommodations.
